The Color Run

Hey!
So recently Bella and I and some friends went to the color run. This is a charity run, to raise money for global citizen which is a charity which helps the movement to end poverty. It also promotes healthiness and happiness.

So we went to wembley station, and it was completely crowded with everyone in their color run tops. we crammed onto the tube and covered ourselves with facepaint. In our tutu's and knee socks we started the run. It wasn't how we thought it would be at first. It was streamed and a group of about 100 went every 10 minutes, while loud music played. But once we had started the music stopped and there was no paint. Every mile or so there was about 100 metres of people lined up ready to cover people in a colour.

There were four colours, orange, blue, pink and yellow

Another thing we weren't expecting was that it wasn't paint, it was a powerded dye. This meant it was easier to wash off, and wasn't too bad if you got it in your eyes.

To take photo's, you don't want to ruin your camera or phone so if you wrapped your phone in cling film it was ok. This means you still have a clear camera and a clean phone.

After the run there was a color toss. This was where they gave everyone small packets of the powder and there was a massive concert sponsered by capital. Loud music played and everyone counted down, and then threw the colours up.
There were stalls set up, with advertising and there were some food stalls with sweets and candy floss and ice cream vans.
Overall it was really fun and i definitely suggest it for next year :)
bye x/ Freja

  1. Hi... do you know about an Indian festival called Holi? Not as organized and quite chaotic, though.
